About SV

Softball Victoria (SV) is the State Sporting Body for softball in Victoria that governs and administers the sport on behalf of its 16 member associations.

Softball Victoria’s Vision is to have more people positively connecting with softball, in more places, more often.

Softball Victoria’s Purpose is for the softball community to work together to enable all Victorians to engage with softball in meaningful and positive ways; and to address the barriers preventing this. We will provide the right participation opportunities for more people, in more places and show a new generation how to get involved and stay involved with our great sport.

The pillars of the Strategic plan are:

Profile: A strong value proposition with our supporters, volunteers, officials and athletes that is supported by innovative commercial, marketing and communication strategies and united behaviours through greater transparency; in alignment with Softball Australia’s ‘One Softball’ culture.

Recruitment: A new wave of softball, re-engaging with those that have fallen out of the sport and strengthening our reach into the school system.

Retention: Vibrant and cohesive associations and clubs managed by dedicated and skilled volunteers; complimented by a clear development pathway for athletes, coaches and officials.
