Please note the regulations regarding team entry and players for State Championships 

15U STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

• Venue: Waverley Softball Association.
• Date: Saturday 12^th & Sunday 13^th April – THIS TOURNAMENT WILL RUN IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE OPEN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
• All players aged 13-15 years old (born 2010-2012) are encouraged to participate and the weekend will run as a “Development Tournament”
• Finals will be played, and medals will be awarded.
• An 11” ball will be used.
• 12-year-old players are also eligible to participate if it’s deemed safe by the association and parents.
• Players who are 16 years old and considered to not be of a standard appropriate for the Open tournament can apply for dispensation to play in the 15U competition. This will need to be approved by the State Championships Organising Committee.
• Boys and girls will compete in separate competitions (numbers permitting).
• Players and officials participating in State Championships must be registered members of their respective Affiliated Member Association. 
• Team construction for 15U teams will be association based, with associations required to have a minimum of SEVEN of their own players (and a maximum of 12) to submit a team. 
• Where associations cannot achieve a minimum team size,  Softball Victoria will assist you in merging with other associations to ensure all players are provided with the opportunity to participate. You will be asked to provide approximate team number upon registration.
• Initial team lists are to be submitted on the Google Sheet that will be sent to you on registration by Sunday 16 March 2025.
• Final team lists must be submitted by Friday 4 April 2025.  No players for the home association can be added to this list after this date. 
• Associations are required to provide one umpire per team.  Your umpire must be included with your initial team list.
• Associations are required to provide one scorer per team.  Your scorer must be included on your team list.
• To help us plan and prepare, please submit your team entries as early as possible.

15U STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM ENTRIES – Cost is $250 / team which includes GST & a RevSPORT fee and covers expenses such as match balls and other relevant costs

It’s important for the development of our players and the game of Softball in Victoria that the junior tournament achieves maximum participation, so please encourage all juniors to get involved.

With both tournaments running at the same time, if your association is short on volunteers (coaches, scorers and umpires) please discuss with us so we can assist.
