Junior Development Program

Softball Victoria are excited to announce the details of the 2025 Junior Development Program. 

Starting on 26 July 2025, the program will be run by experienced coaches and state representative players in TWO locations (North West & South East) allowing participants to choose your preferred venue.

The program will suit beginner to intermediate skilled players from 8 to 14 years of age with the objective being to provide the opportunity for junior players to develop fundamental skills and game sense. Participating in this throughout Winter will build your confidence and have you ready to hit the ground running for the 2025/26 season, which starts in October 2025. 

Participant numbers will be capped at 50 per location with places expected to be filled quickly.

WHO: Juniors aged 8-14 years old, whether you are new to Softball or have played for your school, club, or association, this program is perfect for you. 

DATES: The program runs for 8 weeks, from July 26 through to September 13.

TIME: Saturdays - See below for whether your location is a morning or afternoon session. 

COST: $95 per person ($40 membership fee and $55 event fee)

WHAT TO BRING: Bring all of your Softball gear - if you don't have any, that's absolutely fine, the host association will be able to provide it.

Also bring drink bottles and a snack for after the session

WHAT TO WEAR: Your Softball gear! Please wear cleats (if you have them) & hats. If you don't have softball uniform you don't need to purchase anything, simply wear comfortable sporty clothes. 

VENUES: To maximise opportunities for participation the program is being held at a North West and South East venue

Time: 9am - 11am or 2pm - 4pm

HOW TO REGISTER:

To be eligible you must be registered as a Junior Development Program member - follow the instructions below: 

FOR NEW MEMBERS: Registration directly to Softball Victoria as a Junior Development Program member can be made via this link REGISTRATION - Junior Development Program Member.  

FOR EXISTING MEMBERS: Please click "Returning Member" on the REGISTRATION PAGE for your club (links will be set up soon), log into your account and upgrade your membership to Junior Development Program member and pay the $40 membership. 

Once you have completed your registration you will be sent an email containing the link to register into the Junior Development Progarm event, where you will be asked to select your location. The event fee is $55

When you register into the 2025/26 season the $40 will be deducted from your membership upgrade.
