Andrea Mansfield, Fiona Mills appointed as Welfare Officers

Softball Victoria is pleased to announce the recent appointments of Andrea Mansfield and Fiona Mills as the new welfare officers.

The duo will provide support to athletes and officials within the Victorian State team pathway to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of all participants; maximising the opportunities to perform at their optimum and enjoy the game.

Andrea Mansfield:

Andrea has been involved in softball since 1977 as a player, coach and official for the Frankston Softball Association. She’s also been a team manager for Softball Victoria, SSV and Softball Australia teams.

Additionally she has been a school welfare coordinator for the past three years, while also spending the past 28 years as a teacher.

Whilst in this welfare role, Andrea has been actively involved in numerous leadership programs including; Respectful Relationships and White Ribbon Schools, as well as working with psychologists and other agencies.

Fiona Mills:

Fiona has an extensive softball background having been involved in the sport for the past 45 years. She’s been both a player and official for Softball Victoria, SSV and Softball Australia teams.

She worked as an Integration Aide for 19 years for the Education Department of Victoria, been involved in several BeYou courses, and is also trained in Restorative Practices and has completed multiple Play By The Rules courses.

 

Coming from backgrounds in both welfare and softball, the pair are both exciting and welcomed additions to the Softball Victoria team.
