Callout for Club Ambassadors!!

Published Tue 21 Jun 2022

Attention all Softball Players, Parents and Members!!

The Softball Victoria (SV) Participation Team are hitting the road again in Term 3 to deliver our Home Run Heroes Softball Roadshow to as many years 3 & 4 students as possible throughout Victoria.

We’ve had a fantastic response so far, with more than 120 schools signing up to be part of it.

To make this a huge success once again we are looking for passionate Softball CLUB AMBASSADORS to come and be part of this AWARD-WINNING PROGRAM at schools near you.

Yes, after all the hard work the participation team put in during 2021, Softball Victoria won the VICSPORT Sports Initiative of the Year for the Softball Roadshow, and this year we’re making it even bigger and better!

As well as having thousands of Victorian students experience the fun of Softball, this is also the perfect opportunity for clubs to make valuable connections with local schools and their students by having CLUB AMBASSADORS join the SV team for these sessions.

HOW CAN YOU HELP YOUR CLUB?

  • Become a CLUB AMBASSADOR!

  • Softball coaching experience is not essential (although this is a good opportunity to gain coaching experience). However, a passion for participation and an ability to engage with kids aged 8-10 is important.

  • Must have a valid Victorian Working with Children Check

  • Availability for anywhere from an hour to a day, in Term 3

  • Wear your club gear & tell everyone where to come and play Softball this Summer

Being a club ambassador is perfect for uni students, retired people, those who work from home or run your own business &/or have flexible working hours or school teachers.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING YOUR CLUB AMBASSADOR PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SHORT FORM.

After the students have experienced a fun and engaging introduction to Softball, they will be encouraged to continue with a Home Run Heroes program at your Association or Club, or maybe join a T-ball or U12 team if that’s an appropriate level for them.

We want to get kids off the couch and out onto the diamond, and Home Run Heroes has the potential to be a real game changer for your club!
