Masters Championship set for Shepparton Return

In conjunction with Greater Shepparton City Council, Softball Victoria (SV) are pleased to announce the return of the Masters Championships in 2022.

This year’s event will again be held at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, from Saturday June 11 to Monday June 13.

Several hundred people typically descend on Shepparton for the Championships, providing a huge boost for local accommodation, hospitality, retail, and attractions sectors.

After COVID restrictions cancelled the event in 2020 and 2021, SV are also hopeful of running the event at full capacity, utilising the 11 diamonds at the venue.

SV State Operations Manager Justin Zelones said, “The Masters Championship is one of our showcase events, and after the disappointment of the last two years, I’m very pleased we can return to the city of Shepparton and Mooroopna Recreation Reserve in 2022. Shepparton has hosted the Masters multiple times, and it is always a fantastic event for our members.”
