Reporting to the National Participation Manager of Softball Australia, this exciting role will be responsible for the growth of softball membership and participation at Associations and Clubs within the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and regional Victoria. These include Casey, Frankston, Glen Eira, Melbourne, Albury & Regional areas.

Please Note: The role is designed to be completed as a remote staff member working from home, however some office contact will be required at times. The role would suit someone who lives in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Participation and Membership growth

• The role will work closely with softball associations and clubs to deliver fun, high-quality programs and competitions that focus on increasing the recruitment of new members and retaining existing members.
• This includes building relationships with local schools to provide transition opportunities for children from school programs to association and club programs.

Development of Coaches and Officials

• This role will drive the identification of prospective coaches, and support them with education opportunities and assistance with delivery. To ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and competitions, association and club volunteers must be identified and educated through the relevant coaching accreditation system.

Regional Development

• Identify opportunities to develop (or re-establish) a footprint for softball in regional areas through building relationships with local councils.
• Drive new programs and products, and potentially establish new Associations in regional areas.

Essential Requirements

• Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
• Drivers Licence
• Suitable home office

Desirable Criteria

• Sports Management / Business Degree
• Relevant Coaching Accreditation
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
