Softball Victoria finalist for Vicsport Schools Initiative of the Year

Softball Victoria has been nominated as a finalist for the Vicsport Schools Initiative of the Year.

The award recognises the work Softball Victoria carried out throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, encouraging more people to participate in sport activities.

The Softball Batter Up School Roadshow offered free introduction clinics at the local schools. Modified equipment such as foam balls and bats were used to ensure inclusiveness and enjoyment.

With over 5,000 participants from 112 schools, 150 new participants registered for Softball Batter Up and Fully Loaded T-Ball Program.

Softball Victoria would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our Particiapnt Coordinators, who continued to deliver the SBU Roadshows during the pandemic, leading to this nomination.
