Softball Victoria seeks new Events Committee members

Are you softball fan who is passionate about events?
After many years of dedicated service and excellent delivery of Softball Victoria events, two of our Events Committee members are stepping down, so we are seeking expressions of interest from people to step up the plate and hit it out of the park!
Our events committee are responsible for some of the most important aspects of Softball in our state, mostly being State Championships and the Victorian Masters Championships.
The people who would take on a role would be well trained by outgoing members, work closely with Softball Victoria staff and Board members and have the ability to lend your experience and expertise to make the position your own. The amount of time indicated below is a guide and would obviously vary based on the time of year and season.
SV Events Committee summary of Roles and Responsibilities
· Chair Person (average 2 hours a week)
o Oversee the operational running of the SV Events Committee
· Registrar (average 2 hours a week)
o Check registrations
o Create and manage team sheets
o Liaise with teams regarding registrations
· Competition Manager (average 2 hours a week)
o Create draws (templates available)
o Upload competition to Revsport
o Liaise with SV regarding match balls and trophies
· Host Liaison (average 1 hour a week)
o Liaise with Host Association regarding the check list and responsibilities
o Arrange Ground inspection with SDU
o Liaise with SV regarding First Aid provision
· Communications (average 4 hours a week)
o Check and respond to emails
o Communicate with key stakeholders where necessary
o Take minutes from SV Events Committee meetings
Meetings are face to face or online
