SSV South-East Metro Region Finals

A big four days of softball at Kingston Heath Reserve last week, as all four SSV age groups competed in the Southeast Metropolitan Regional Softball Finals.

The finals began on Tuesday with the intermediate girls, where Beaumaris Secondary College took out their regional finals, while runners up Cheltenham Secondary College also secured a place in the State Finals on May 26.

On Wednesday, Brighton Secondary College won the year 8 girls’ competition and will go through to their State Finals in November. Cheltenham Secondary College were again runners up, and also secured a place in the finals.

Mac.Robertson Girls High School won the senior girls’ competition on Thursday, with Nossal High School runners up. Both teams progress through to the State Finals on May 26 at Jells Park.

The week wrapped up on Friday, where Elisabeth Murdoch College won the year 7 girls competition and will go through to the State Finals in November. Brighton Secondary College were also awarded a spot in the State Finals as runners up.

Congratulations to all schools for participating in such good spirits and giving it their all.

Thank you also to the convener, umpires, and teachers for creating a supportive environment for the girls to enjoy playing softball.
