Under 12 Junior Development Session a Big Hit

The Under 12 Junior Development Session held at the Under 23 Men’s Nationals at Waverley Softball Association on Saturday morning was a big hit, with over 20 junior softballers thrilled to be taken through their paces by current Victorian State coaches and Junior Victorian State representatives.

The session focused on batting, pitching, fielding, and base running and concluded with a game of toss pitch.

After the session, the group got to watch the Victorian Under 23 Men’s team in action against NSW and QLD.

A big thank you to all participants and parents, Softball Victoria look forward to providing more development opportunities in the future.

A huge thank you to all the coaches involved including current Victorian U14 Girls Coach and SSV 12 and Under Girls Coach Tony Black, current Victorian U14 Assistant Coach Justin Zelones, current Wesley College Coach Trish Bennett, current U16 Victorian Boys team member Chase Bennett, current U14 Victorian and U16 team member and Captain U14’s Lani Rigg, current Victorian U14 Girls team member Myah Rigg, current Victorian U14 Girls team member Natalie Joynson, and current U18 Victorian Men’s team member Dan Lee.

Thank you to Waverley Softball Association for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities for the session.

All juniors are reminded of registering to represent Victoria and compete in the School Sport Australia Championships.
