Softball Australia and Softball Victoria are pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Zelones to the role of Participation Coordinator for South East Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

Justin will be joining the team in a full time capacity working closely with Member Associations and Clubs to support and implement participation and inclusion initiatives, and drive growth of membership in these regions.

With Softball Victoria now embedded in the One Softball structure, this position was created in-line with SV’s strategic plan to increase investment and resourcing in participation to grow membership and participation across the State.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Management), Justin has over two decades of experience as a sports administrator at community level and wide-ranging leadership and management skills honed over many years as a civil engineer.

Justin values the team environment and has a strong softball coaching pedigree, having coached at both club and state level. His knowledge of community sport, extensive experience as a volunteer and broad leadership skills working across multiple sectors will ensure that he has an immediate and sustained impact in this role.

Justin will oversee a region including Casey, Frankston and Glen Eira Moorabbin along with Melbourne and Albury Wodonga, in addition to a focus on increasing the footprint of softball in regional Victoria.

Justin will commence his role on Monday 31^st May 2021.
